Today is The last Day of Spring! Say hello to suntans, beachy waves and all the sunsets you can possibly watch ( with a mimosa of course ). We all have our favorite parts of summer, whether its travelling to see friends and family, spending your days in the sand or even finally getting to take those Instagram worthy selfies, we spend our days dreaming in the magic that the season seems to bring. With inspirations for Adventure, Change and Travels we set goals for ourselves and aim at them with high hopes
.Of course with all the hullabaloo of the season there’s on thing we all hear but don’t seem to retain …. WATER!
Yup, water. You know the deal, drink water during the heat and while outing in the sun so you don’t collapse and expedite premature wrinkles…
BUT do you know how much water you actually need? While they say to get your 8 glasses a day, what does that even mean? If you’re like me and find yourself asking ” What size is this supposed glass? ” and just shoulder shrug an assumption, then worry not because I’ve totally done some research!
So for adults the mount of water we should be drinking in a day is 1GALLON … Yes, really …. ( even more if you’re working or playing outdoors ) making SURE you get enough water is more than important, its vital. Consuming the right amount of water is going to give your body what it needs to function during this ( well every season, but more urgently summer ) time of year.
Not drinking enough water CAN & WILL result in the following:
- Muscle Cramps, Headaches, Lightheadedness and Sleepiness
- Dehydration and feeling suddenly faint
- Wrinkles, Acne and dry skin, harsher and faster Sun burns
- High Blood Pressure, UTIs and Kidney stones
Not to mention if you’ve got some serious diet and exercise goals you want to achieve this summer, getting enough water WILL get you there! Hydration is key in performance, mentality and appetite control.
So basically unless you want to look like Cruella DeVille faster than Disney can whip up another live action movie, Drink Responsibly 😉
